Artist Bio:
For Lucas, painting is meditation. It allows him to be fully present and in a state of flow where thoughts no longer occupy the mind - just forms, colors, and light.
This body of work portrays life in the tropics. Having grown up in a temperate climate, his impression of the jungle has always been that of a fantasy. That jungle spirit now manifests through his art.
Lucas+ compositions weave together the land, sky, and a celestial body like the sun & moon. This gives energy to what comes next: flora & fauna. Birds and the freedom they inspire are a recurring theme amongst the series. The goal is to create stylized artworks that inspire collectors and take viewers on a colorful journey into the natural world.
